About
Elisabeth Johnson is a Brazilian-American violinist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, world folk musician, educator, poet, artist and activist in Chicago.
They are the founder of Radicel Healing LLC.
Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicology/Violin Performance from Roosevelt University, Racial Healing Practitioner Certification from Kennedy King College, and is a 2024 Fellow at the Disability Lead Institute. Currently, they are a student of Music Healing and Transition Program, providing music at the bedside. They are working towards completing their practicum, providing music for people of all ages. For those with disabilities, memory care, acute and non acute trauma, palliative and comfort care.
Elisabeth is a Guillain-Barré survivor. Their own experience in health care informs her interest in neuroscience, music and sound healing, improvisation, composition, poetry and language, and healthcare advocacy providing interactive group practices and informed tailor-made sessions to create equitable, and accessible healing and sounding spaces.

Elisabeth received Racial Healing Practitioner Certification from Kennedy King College during her recovery from Guillain-Barré, and was honored to be a 2024 Fellow at the Disability Lead Institute.
With extensive knowledge and experience, including over 25 years as an educator working with children and families. They also bring experience in the areas of restorative and transformative justice, social emotional learning, human rights education, disability and accessibility, group process and circle facilitation, youth mentoring and activities oordination, tutoring and engagement strategies for leadership, growth and advocacy.

Certified Music Practitioner Services
Elisabeth Johnson is currently working on her Practicum in becoming a Certified Music Practitioner with the Music Healing and Transition Program MHTP(tm).
As a Certified Music Practitioner, I provide therapeutic live music at the bedside. This Integrative Music Medicine may provide some pain management, vitalization and stabilization as well as distraction to benefit patients with specific needs.
I am trained to provide music for acute and non acute patients, cognitively impaired and memory care patients, as well as music for actively transitioning patients. I am also available to work with families providing musical support for grief and respite.
My music service provides a healing environment of therapeutic music not only for patients, but also for hospital staff and family members.

Music Performance and Services
Elisabeth Johnson is a Brazilian-American violinist, multi-instrumentalist, world folk musician, educator, poet, artist and activist in Chicago. Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicology/Violin Performance from Roosevelt University.
Elisabeth has spent their life playing in orchestras and ensembles worldwide as a professional violinist. They also play Balkan, Greek, Arabic, Klezmer and Brazilian music. They bring over 25 years of expertise in working with children in after school programming for various Chicagoland area music schools.
Elisabeth is also the founder of a music school, Mynah Music Studio, implementing curriculum and programing of both western and diverse world music idioms. The studio provides community opportunities and events, lessons, concerts, and curating performance and art installations.
